Using Hope As An Educational Tool

Are you holding out hope for the future? You’re not alone.

On Thursday's Up to Date, guest host Lorenzo Butler of the Kansas City Public Library talks with psychology professor Shane Lopez, who has made hope part of his advocacy for psychological reform in education to promote student achievement.  We also talk with Ruskin High School English teacher Cristin Blunt about whether or not she sees hope in her students' eyes.

Lopez's latest book is Making Hope Happen: Create the Future You Want for Yourself and Others.
