Alvin Watts (left), 33, and Jacob England, 19, were arrested following an appeal to the public to help police solve the five shootings that happened Friday. A police spokesman said the two face three counts of first-degree murder and two counts of shooting with intent to kill.
Police in Tulsa, Okla., say it is much too early in their investigation to describe the murder of three black residents and the wounding of two others as a hate crime. Two men were arrested early Sunday morning and are expected to face charges of first-degree murder and shooting with intent to kill.
Soon after Friday's shooting, authorities reached out to the public for help. Police Maj. Walter Evans, the head of a task force looking into the murders, says information started pouring in shortly after that.

In his role at Freedom, he paved the way for the first African Americans to be elected to the city council and the Missouri State Assembly, himself becoming a representative in 1964. And Jordan was instrumental in the passage of a 1962 public accommodations ordinance, which outlawed segregation in Kansas City.
Kansas City, MO – This summer, Kansas City Missouri police re-opened an unsolved murder case from 40 years ago. The victim was one of their own: former police lieutenant and state representative Leon Jordan. Jordan was gunned down outside his tavern on July 15, 1970.
Jordan was a key figure in the local civil rights movement, and helped consolidate black political power in Kansas City.
Over the years, there's been many theories about who killed Leon Jordan, and some concern that dredging up the case could tarnish his legacy.
Kansas City, Mo. – A University of Missouri-Kansas City student is charged in the murder of a Kansas City businessman at his Country Club District home.
Matthew Hendrix is charged with second-degree murder, burglary and armed criminal action. Police list his address as Oak Street Hall dormitory at 50th and Oak, less than a mile from the murder scene. Hendrix is 17.
49-year-old Michael Tutera was shot to death inside his home in the gated community of Sunset Drive, just south of Ward Parkway.
Kansas City, Mo. – Kansas City police waited for a search warrant today before examining the interior of a house in the upscale Country Club District where the homeowner was found dead this morning. Police identify him as 49 year old Michael J. Tutera. Investigators did not say by what means he was killed, except to say it is a homicide.
Police asked anyone with information to call the Crimestoppers' Hotline at 816-474-TIPS. A police spokesman said detectives were following up on what were termed, "good leads."
