Listen to Your Mother (Live readings by local female writers about motherhood), 7 p.m. Saturday at Unity Temple on the Plaza, 707 W. 47th. Admission: $15 ($12 advance).

Weekend Comedy” (Stage comedy starring Cindy Williams of “Laverne and Shirley” TV fame), 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 11:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday at the New Theatre Restaurant, 9229 Foster, Overland Park. Tickets: $38 to $54

Bike Prom(Prom for bicycle lovers, including bike-ride speed dating), 8 p.m. Saturday at EventPort, 208 W. 19th. Tickets: $20 ($15 advance)

You’ve Got a Friend: Music That Raised the Baby Boomers (Songs made famous by singer/songwriters), 7:30 p.m. Friday, 3 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday at the Quality Hill Playhouse, 303 W. 10th. Tickets: $32.
