Missouri River Home To Endangered Pallid Sturgeon

More than 20 years after joining the endangered species list, the pallid sturgeon is treading water. Slicing through farm country, the Missouri River – home to a threatened pallid sturgeon population – is a piece of the vibrant farm economy. More Housing Starts Means More Truck Sales

In  announcing it would add 2,000 jobs to its Claycomo Assembly Plant, Ford Motor cited increased  sales tied to new stability in the home building market.   At the truck factory, Ford executives drew parallels that are being seen industry-wide.  Learn more about the positive economic trend here.

Lawsuit Filed Over Language Used In Teacher Tenure Ballot Initiative

A group of educators is suing the state of Missouri overa proposed constitutional amendmentrequiring tenure for public school teachers be based on performance, not seniority.  The four plaintiffs in the suit say school districts would be allowed to fire or cut the pay of teachers and administrators without cause or due process, and that the ballot language should be rewritten to reflect that.  Find out more about the lawsuit here.
