Missouri High Court Hears School Case

The Missouri Supreme Court heard arguments Tuesday over a 20-year-old law that requires unaccredited school districts to pay tuition for students who transfer to nearby accredited schools. Read more here.

Roberts Says Bill Would Improve SNAP And Save Billions

Kansas Senator Pat Roberts has introduced a bill to reform the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly known as food stamps.  Roberts says the bill would save $36 billion over ten years by eliminating waste, and closing loopholes in the program.

'The Flying Dutchman' Captain Cursed To Sail The High Seas

"The Flying Dutchman" is an early opera by Richard Wagner. And, like many of Wagner's later works, it's rooted in myth. The Lyric Opera of Kansas City presents this tale of a ghost captain, cursed to roam the high seas.
