Councils Gets Tough On Businesses Selling Synthetic Drugs
The Kansas City city council plans to get tough on businesses that sell products labeled as "bath salts" or "incense', but designed to have effects similar to marijuana or other street drugs. Councilman Scott Wagner presented the the plan to the Public Safety and Emergency Services committee on Wednesday.
New Crime Fighting Approach Contrasts With Recent Murders

Sporting KC’s Kamara Makes Premier Move
Sporting Kansas City forward Kei Kamara will be making a move across the pond at least temporarily. Sporting KC announced Wednesday morning that Kamara would go on loan to Norwich City. The loan would last through May 6th and Norwich City would have the option to make it a permanent transfer at that time.
“A Modern Night” Highlights Local Choreogrpahers
Choreographer Andrea Skowronek says after she creates a new work, she steps away and lets it have a life of its own. She says it then "becomes the dancer’s piece." The annual event called "A Modern Night at the Folly” celebrates local choreography and dancers, brought together for one night of dance on the Folly stage. "Fractals," by City in Motion co-director and choreographer Skowronek, is one of the ten works showcased in this year's performance. Find out more about it here.
