Kansas City, MO – Carlos Mencia is the creator of Comedy Central's controversial show Mind of Mencia. Mencia was born in Honduras to a Honduran mother and Mexican father and moved to Los Angeles as a boy. He studied electrical engineering in college but chose to pursue a career in stand-up comedy instead. And at this point, he's one of the most successful Latino comedian ever, judging by his cable ratings and tour-ticket sales. Mencia's also on the big screen right now with Ben Stiller in The Heartbreak Kid.
