Prepared for Disaster
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – April marks the start of severe and unstable weather patterns to this area. But severe thunderstorms and tornadoes are not the only thing to worry about. There are floods, threats of terrorism and possible earthquakes because of Missouri's New Madrid fault. But how prepared are we should disaster strike? And do we have the information we need to be ready? That's the concern of Kansas City's Marty Augustine, a long time police officer and safety educator. KCUR's Susan B. Wilson sat down with Augustine who wrote a book called At Ground Zero to help out the average citizen.
