Outlaw Jesse Howard

Folk artist Jesse Howard's hand-painted signs and sculptures are on display along with the paintings of Chicago Imagist Roger Brown in an exhibit at the H&R Block Artspace at the Kansas City Art Institute. Kansas City, MO – UMKC's Center for Creative Studies, the H&R Block Artspace at the Kansas City Art Institute and the Roger Brown Study Collection present the symposium "Rupture and Rapture: Artists, Boundaries, and the Objects that Challenge Them," September 10th from 2 - 4:30 at the Spencer Theater in the Performing Arts Center on the campus of UMKC.

Mark Stevenson and the Givens "Because Iniquity Shall Abound: Songs Inspired by and Adapted from the Art of Outlaw Jesse Howard" CD release party on September 10 at Davey's Uptown.
