Kansas City, Missouri – It's been a busy week for MAST, the Metropolitan Ambulances Trust. MAST now operates its ambulances independently, where it once provided oversight of a private contractor. That change and questions about its financial security prompted an audit of MAST by the city of Kansas City. KCUR's Matt Hackworth reports.
