The Arts KCFund, like a United Way for the arts, raised nearly $732,000 during its annual spring workplace giving campaign and recently announced its latest round of grant recipients. KCUR's Laura Spencer reports.

Twenty established arts organizations, like the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the Unicorn Theatre, will receive $413,000 in Ovation Grants for operating expenses. And for 45 smaller projects and programs, like the Wylliams/Henry Contemporary Dance Company and the Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre, it's nearly $161,000 in Catalyst Grants. The Arts KC fund also distributes more than $32,000 in Inspiration grants in the spring, summer and fall to artists and arts professionals.
