KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A light rail promoter has succeeded in gathering enough signatures to get a $2.5 billion proposal on the ballot in Kansas City.

A judge has handed Planned Parenthood a victory in a case over federal health care funding. The ruling blocked a state law that diverts federal money away from Planned Parenthood in Kansas.

The Kansas Dental Association is urging dentists who are not currently accepting Medicaid as payment to sign up for the government-funded insurance program.

July 2011 was the sixth-hottest July on record in Missouri, dating back to 1895.

Missouri is one step closer to beginning a railroad project that could speed up freight and passenger train service on a main cross-state route.
