Kansas City, MO –

  • With gas prices down nationwide, Missouri and Kansas have the second and third lowest. Ron Leone of the Missouri Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association expects prices to stay low.
  • The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission has set a hearing date for November 7 on whether to revoke the licenses of the Woodlands and two other now-closed horse and dog racing tracks.
  • There'll be no more unemployment chacks issued in the state of Kansas. The Department of Labor will issue debit cards and transfer the unemployment compensation to them electronically.
