Authorities at Ottawa in Franklin County have changed from rescue mode to one of recovery and charges are expected.

Brown hair, blue eyed Lana Bailey has been missing since late April.  Her mother Kaylie Bailey was identified as a murder victim with two men, also murdered, who lived at the rural house west of Ottawa.

One of the dead men, 30-year-old Andrew Stout had been dating Bailey and had worked with her at a Johnson County security company.

The third victim is 31-year-old Steven White.

Franklin County Attorney Stephen Hunting  suggests it will become  four murders and not three, “ it is with a great deal of sadness that we all come before all you today to say we presume Lana Bailey is dead.  We have still not recovered the body.  That is why we are presuming she is dead. We have information that leads us to believe that.”

Emporia, Kansas police picked up a “subject of interest” Wednesday with the dead woman’s car nearby.

The prosecutor is sure enough charges will be filed that he names  27-year-old Kyle Flack as suspected of first degree murder.
