Kansas City Museum Renovation

For the past year and a half, the Kansas City Museum has been going through a major renovation. And that means, for now, anyone looking for a one-stop destination to see a stagecoach, a stuffed buffalo or Civil War uniforms is out of luck. KCUR's Alex Smith recently stopped by the area's only comprehensive regional history museum to see how the work is coming along.

Kansas City, MO – Kansas City Museum director Christopher Leitch expects the bulk of the museum renovations will be finished in 3 to 5 years. But for now, the museum is exhibiting photographs and showing films about Kansas City history. Also, the monthly community curator program features local scholars talking about their favorite museum objects.
