Kansas City, MO – Playwright August Wilson died just about a year ago at the age of 60, just after completing a 10-part cycle of plays documenting the African American experience in the 20th Century. The Kansas City Repertory Theatre has produced several of Wilson?s plays. It?s currently showing Jitney, which takes place in the 1970s in a black neighborhood in Pittsburgh. Many of the actors are August Wilson veterans ? and remember working with him.
