An Interview with Hamza Walker

The New York Times has called Chicago based curator Hamza Walker one of the seven most influential curators in the country. Walker visited Kansas City recently for the opening of the 2005 Charlotte Street Awards Exhibition at Johnson County Community College.

Kansas City, MO – The New York Times has called Chicago based curator Hamza Walker one of the seven most influential curators in the country. Walker visited Kansas City recently for the opening of the 2005 Charlotte Street Awards Exhibition at Johnson County Community College Gallery of Art. He?s serving a two-year term as visiting curator, and helped choose this year?s five Charlotte Street Awards recipients. Walker is also the Associate Curator and Director of Education at the Renaissance Society University of Chicago ? and talked to KCUR?s Laura Spencer from his offices there.
