What caused Missouri Governor Eric Greitens to resign now and reactions from area Republicans and Democrats

What started as a political career with presidential ambition, will come to an end less than two years after it began. Missouri Governor Eric Greitens announced yesterday he will resign effective at 5 p.m. Friday, May 30. We spoke with journalists on how the governor got to this place, what it means, and what Missourians can expect to happen next. Local representatives of both parties gave us their thoughts on the governor's decision and their hopes for the state's political future.
