The Food Critics: News, Reviews and Eating Organic
Walt Bodine and his food critics take another turn at making our stomachs growl and our wallets groan.
As the ingredients found in our favorite foods become more and more unusual and harder to pronounce, Kansas Citians are looking for alternatives. Farmer's markets are booming and a number of restaurants and stores are abandoning processed, mass-produced goods for those delivered fresh by the farmer just outside of town.
So, in a day and age when consumers have adopted the mantra, "If you can't pronounce the name of an ingredient and you don't know what it is, you probably shouldn't eat the food," Walt Bodine and the Food Critics weigh in on the city's best places to get organic or all-natural meals and goods in the Metro.
