Include KCUR In Your Will

You can help KCUR build an endowment by making an estate gift.

There Are Many Alternatives
It is a simple matter to include KCUR in your will or trust. You can make a bequest as large or as small as you desire. You may consider a percentage of your property ("50% of my estate") or a specified amount ("$75,000").

You may set up a trust in your will to educate your grandchildren and, only after their educational needs are met, will the trust benefit KCUR.

You may use a codicil or trust amendment to add KCUR to your estate plan without completely rewriting your will or trust.

There are many alternatives. Please discuss them with your attorney, who can also assist you in setting up your bequest.

Bequests For Our Greatest Needs
We encourage unrestricted bequests. They allow us to use your gift for our most urgent need at the time of receipt. To facilitate drafting your will or trust, we provide the following language for your attorney:

I give, devise and bequeath to the Curators of the University of Missouri for KCUR, on the Kansas City Campus, the sum of ____________________. (or, if leaving everything, just state," the residue of my estate".

Percentage Bequest
You may want to designate a percentage of your estate for KCUR. We offer the following language to assist your attorney:

I give, devise and bequeath to the Curators of the University of Missouri for KCUR, on the Kansas City Campus, __________ % of my estate passing under this will after the deduction of all debts, funeral expenses, but before the deduction of any death, inheritance or estate taxes, it being my intention to exonerate this bequest from contributing to the payment of any such taxes.
