Missing College Student Found, Was Not Abducted

The 19 year old  Johnson County Community College  student  missing since  Friday,  December 16th , has been found   unharmed,  five days after her disappearance from the University of Kansas-Edwards campus in Overland Park.  Police say Aisha Khan had not been abducted.

A Turn To Old Fashioned Police Work For Missing Student

Leads have thinned into the second and third tier variety as police in Overland Park and Olathe try, for a fourth day, to learn what happened to Aisha Khan. Investigators are questioning classmates, teachers and friends of the 19 year old  Johnson County Community College student.

The married student who lives in Olathe with her husband of five months was last  believed   studying  in an outside alcove  at the K.U. Edwards Campus where she had  a semester final test she never  took. She vanished about an hour before the noon class last Friday.

Heightened Search For Missing Student

Overland Park, Ks. Police Chief John Douglass details search for student, saying he is using resources as "if it was an abduction."

It’s been three days since a 19-year-old married college student went missing in Overland Park, and police have  scoured several square miles looking for Aisha Kahn. The woman had called her sister complaining of a man harassing her.
 
A reward has been increased, and the FBI has extended the search.

The Johnson County Community College student hasn’t been seen since last Friday near the KU Edwards  campus where she took classes. A backpack, books and a cell phone were found. Overland Park Police Chief John Douglass updated reporters this afternoon.

Overland Park Annexation Opponents Plan Appeal

Kansas City, Mo. – Opponents say they'll appeal the decision to approve Overland Park's annexation of 8 square miles of semi-rural land.

A Johnson County District Court last week ruled neither the city nor Johnson County did anything illegal by annexing the land.

But Norman Pishner a member of a committee that campaigned vigorously against the annexation, says opponents believe they can prove residents were denied due process.
