Brownback Endorses Tax Compromise

Negotiators from the House and Senate have worked out a deal on a tax-cutting bill. It would cut income tax rates, eliminate some business taxes and reduce property taxes.

Gov. Sam Brownback says he's on board with the agreement.

"I think it's a thoughtful blend, and then it's got the key pro-growth features that I think are important," he said. "Gets the tax office, small business and lowers the overall rates."
