WEB EXTRA: Bruce Hartman on "New Possibilities"

Approximately 50 works of American Indian art from a diverse range of cultures and geography are on display in an installation at Johnson County Community College. Kansas City, MO – The "New Possibilities Bags," are a pair of beaded red cloth bags; in each, American Indian women receive their college degrees. Hartman says the work is a play on "possible bags," bags that were used to store objects on the journeys of Plains Indians.
