On this Monday's Central Standard, we explore how area artists honor Jazz’s heritage and progression, through the language of Hip-Hop.
Area musicians will join us to share how the intersection of these two genres has been a boon for our local music scene, including emcee Reach (a.k.a. Stacy Smith), jazz trumpeter Hermon Mehari, and Glenn North, performance performance poet and education specialist at the American Jazz Museum.
The American Jazz Museum presents “A Vibe Called Mesh” on Wednesday, March 14th at The Blue Room, 1616 E. 18th Street. The show will begin at 7pm with a brief lecture. Event is for patrons 21 and up, $10.
