Smart Homes For Healthier Lives, And Exploring Internet Addiction Through Film

Fringe Festival KC

What if your home could help you stay healthier? Today, we learn how smart toilets and sensor-packed floors could help more folks age in place and turn future houses into medical monitors. Then, we discuss a new, locally-produced film that examines how addiction to the internet affects the human psyche.

'Images' will begin screening as part of Fringe Festival KC at Musical Theatre Heritage Film Studio in Crown Center at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 21. For more show times and information, visit KCFringe.org.

When I host Up To Date each morning at 9, my aim is to engage the community in conversations about the Kansas City area’s challenges, hopes and opportunities. I try to ask the questions that listeners want answered about the day’s most pressing issues and provide a place for residents to engage directly with newsmakers.
