Sjaak (pronounced "shock") Lucassen is no ordinary motorcyclist. He's an extreme cyclist.

Lucassen followed his dream and journeyed through 75 countries on a Yamaha R1 Superbike. Beginning in March 2001 and ending in August 2006, Sjaak traveled 154,668 miles, used an estimated 3,302 gallons of gasoline, performed 20 oil changes, and went through 11 front and 17 rear tires.

Snacking on licorice, Lay's potato chips and Coca-Cola, Sjaak traveled alone without chase cars or emergency assistance.

He encountered war zones in Congo, the endless sands of the Sahara desert, and a snake slithering up his engine block in Guyana.

Steve Kraske talks with Sjaak Lucassen and Kansas City-based filmmaker Brandon Green about their documentary Sjaak the World.
