Every day, on average, 18 U.S. veterans commit suicide. On April 5th of this year, infantryman Jacob Andrews went into the woods behind his Kansas City home and joined that grim statistic. We'll hear his story from his mother Laurie Turner and reporter Bill Murphy Jr., who told Andrews' story in Stars and Stripes magazine.

From the article --
"He tried. The kid asked for help," said Andrews Mother, Laurie Turner. "But to them, he was just a number."
