Poet Linda Rodriguez on Heart's Migration

Rodriguez has now published her first full book of poems, called Heart's Migration. Two of the poems in Rodriguez's new book recently caught the attention of Garrison Keillor, who read them on his show 'The Writer's Almanac.'

Kansas City, MO – Linda Rodriguez is known in Kansas City for her work as the former director of UMKC's Women's Center. And she's a strong advocate for writers, through her work with the Writer's Place, the Kansas City Women Writers Series and the Latino Writers Collective.

KCUR's Sylvia Maria Gross recently caught up with her.

Linda Rodriguez will be reading from her book Heart's Migration on Tuesday evening at the Johnson County Resource Library.
