New Chiefs GM Takes 'Dream Job'
John Dorsey was introduced on Monday as the new general manager of the Kansas City Chiefs. Though Dorsey has worked with the Green Bay Packers through most of his professional life, he's excited to be in Kansas City for his first general manager's job in the NFL.
The year 1993 is a significant one in the history of the Chiefs. It's the last time the team won a playoff game when Joe Montana was the quarterback. But it's now important because it's the year that John Dorsey first became attracted to Kansas City.
"It's my dream job. It always has been," says Dorsey. "Ever since I met my wife in 1993, I've always wanted to and I've always dreamt of being the general manager of the Kansas City Chiefs one day."
Dorsey's wife, Tricia, is an attorney for the Polsinelli Shughart law firm.
