Kansas City, MO – Hollywood hasn't been shy about doing films with actors playing characters with developmental disabilities, but it has been reluctant to let people who actually have those disabilities play the part. Recently, Kansas Citians got to screen a new independent film called My Brother at the Screenland Theater.
My Brother won 27 awards before it even opened. It is now playing in select cities and should be back in Kansas City at the Screenland Theater in April.
