Kansas City, MO – Today, Missouri voters got their first chance to use the state's new voting machines, installed as part of the Help America Vote Act of 2002. People had the choice of using either a scan voting device, which uses paper ballots, or an electronic touch screen voting system. The new machines replaced punch card ballots, which had been in use since 1976.
