Marijuana Charge Dismissed For Chiefs Player Dwayne Bowe

Apr 17, 2014

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe pled guilty to defective equipment and littering Wednesday in Riverside, Mo. The charge was amended from the original charge of marijuana possession last November.

Bowe was not present, but his attorney, Kevin Regan, made the statement at Riverside City Hall that would be of most interest to the NFL commissioner’s office in New York.

“There was no admission of guilt to marijuana possession,” said Regan. “Our investigation revealed he did not possess marijuana. There was no guilty plea to the marijuana charge. It was dismissed, meaning it won’t be re-filed.”

Bowe paid a fine of $610.

Bowe was arrested after he was pulled over for allegedly speeding with two passengers in the vehicle he was driving. The arrest took place last year before the Chiefs prepared to play the Denver Broncos on the road.
