KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City, Missouri has a new interim school superintendent to replace Dr. John Covington who resigned one week ago to take a more lucrative job in Michigan.

After a four hour surveillance and search of a Northland motel, police arrested one of two men suspected in what was believed a home invasion and kidnapping.

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon is urging Missouri lawmakers to pass numerous tax credit proposals during the upcoming special session.

For the second straight game the Kansas City Royals gave up late-inning runs to the Detroit Tigers, this time resulting in a 5-4 loss.
