KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Missouri students scored higher this year on English, math and science tests, but two Kansas City area district saw some drops.

MoDOT does not have enough money budgeted to finish reducing the number of rest areas along Missouri's interstate highways.

Building on a campaign that began at the end of last school year, Topeka-area law enforcement and civic organizations are planning to supply thousands of high school and middle-school students with school-specific lanyards.

Topeka will be testing 30 parking meters that can accept credit and debit card payments before deciding whether to purchase the devices.

Northwest Missouri will soon be home to an extremely rare breed of bison. The Dunn Ranch is north of Bethany and owned by Nature Conservancy.

The Kansas City Royals beat the Baltimore Orioles last night 6-2.

Sporting KC extended it's 14 game winning streak, beating Real Salt Lake 2-0.
