KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Missouri River at Northwest Missouri's largest city is forecast to rise a few more inches, then level off by midweek. At St. Joseph, the major battle has been getting rid of water building up inside the river levees.

The body of a 7-year-old boy has been found in a lake south of Lawrence.

Branson police say a husband and wife from Columbia have drowned at a hotel swimming pool.
