KCUR 89.3 Launches New Brand Campaign

Here at KCUR we are great at telling stories. But we aren't always good at telling our own story — and we have a great story to tell.

That's why we've spent the last year working with a team at Meers Advertising in Kansas City to refresh our look. CEO and President, Sam Meers is a longtime listener, donor and volunteer who knows where KCUR has been and where it wants to go.

As you can see, we have updated our look through imagery. We have also updated our brand through words. In a nutshell, our goal is to inspire, challenge and connect people. KCUR brings the world to Kansas City and Kansas City to the world.

In an era of shrinking newsrooms nationwide, KCUR has been fortunate enough to double our staff in the past five years to deliver more in-depth information on local agriculture, arts, culture, education and health. These stories are not only broadcast on the radio, but are available here on kcur.org and on our social media platforms.

Research shows our audience is appreciative and loyal. They seldom leave us. However, our great hurdle is that we're still unknown to many.

You'll see a lot more KCUR in a new fall advertising campaign as we work to introduce ourselves to new people.

Meers Account Director Libby Moss said it best: Once people listen to or read KCUR, they'll be hooked.

If you are already hooked, thanks. If you are just finding us, welcome.

We're glad you're part of our story.

KCUR serves the Kansas City region with breaking news and award-winning podcasts.
