KANSAS CITY, MO – The current presidential campaign has sparked a lot of discussion about the state of race relations in America. Artist William Willmott says he views his art as a protest and a wake-up call about racism. Willmott is a senior in painting at the Kansas City Art Institute. An exhibition of his pencil drawings, paintings and digital collages at the Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center explores issues of race in contemporary society.
