KC To Vote On Light Rail In November

Kansas City, MO – Kansas City voters will face another ballot question about light rail on November 4th, with the City Council this time asking residents for approval of a 14-mile starter line stretching from Kansas City's northland south to the city's east side.

In this edition of Up to Date, host Steve Kraske talked to Marc Huffer, general manager and CEO of the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority, Bill Millar, president of the American Public Transportation Association, and Tina Votaw, a transit oriented development specialist with the Charlotte Area Transit System in North Carolina whose city just opened its first light rail line last year.
