OVERLAND PARK, KS – Kansas Republicans challenged conventional wisdom with their overwhelming support for former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee on Saturday morning. Some 20,000 people showed up at school buildings, fairgrounds and community centers across the state - it was less than the party had projected. But at the Matt Ross Community Center in Overland Park at 10 a.m., when caucuses were scheduled to start, hundreds of people were still on line. KCUR's Sylvia Maria Gross was at the caucus and has this report.
