Governor Blunt Restructures Hispanic Affairs Commission

By Sylvia Maria Gross

Kansas City, MO – The first national meeting of Latino state commissions was in Kansas City this week. It was organized by the Kansas Hispanic and Latino American Affairs Commission. But members of the Missouri delegation were recently informed that their commission has been dissolved and will be restructured to focus on business development. The new Hispanic Business, Trade and Culture Commission will advise the state Office of International Trade and Investment. Joe Arce is publisher of KC Hispanic News, and has been covering the story for several weeks. He talked to KCUR's Sylvia Maria Gross about the focus of the previous commission.
