Emergency Rooms Assess Preparedness

Kansas City, MO – Emergency rooms are busy year round. But they can become even more strained during flu season. That was true this year in Kansas City, when ER patient admissions rose between 20 and 25 percent in February and March. KCUR's Elana Gordon reports.

Funding for health care coverage on KCUR has been provided by the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City.
