DVD Gurus: 40+ Years of Woody Allen

"A relationship is like a shark, it has to constantly move forward or it dies...and I think what we got on our hands is a dead shark."
If you've ever found yourself ruminating over Allen's famous metaphor for relationships, waxed romantic about the Manhattan skyline, or sympathized with the nebbish character in a film, you can probably thank Woody Allen. Though most famous for his films Annie Hall, Manhattan, and Sleeper, this prolific director/actor/producer has steadily put out a movie a year since the mid-60s.
Love him or hate him, Allen's decades-long career is worth a look beyond the typical favorites. Friday on Up to Date, the DVD Gurus--Mitch Brian and Jason Heck--are back with a look at Woody Allen's long and storied carrier as a comic and dramatic writer.
Jason's picks:
Manhattan
Zelig
Stardust Memories
Mitch's picks:
Annie Hall
Husbands and Wives
Match Point
Bonus:
Bullets Over Broadway
