KANSAS CITY, MO. – Two people are arrested, pending charges, in discovery of two other people found dead in a Kansas City spot that used to be in vogue for leaving homicide victims.
Police know who the dead man was. They ask help from the public learning the name and background of the dead woman.
They were found by firefighters last evening inside a car burning along Cliff Drive , the park-like area of winding roads looking down on the Missouri River from the old Northeast side.
The Drive was a locale where killers would often leave victims before the 1990's because it offered brief concealment. Then for several years the Drive was closed to traffic. It was beautified and reopened in more recent years. The Jackson County Medical Examiner has been working to learn how the man and woman died.
Police describe the woman as Hispanic, about 5-foot-7 and as heavy as 180 pounds. Her black hair was below shoulder length. Her bottom lip was pierced.
Police says it's likely a double homicide.
