Democrats Highlight Powerful Women, Including Sebelius
Kathleen Sebelius, the governor of Kansas, took on a role for which doubly well suited at the Democratic National Convention last night. KCUR's Frank Morris has more from Denver, Colo.
The Democrats were showcasing some of their powerful women last night. Senator Hillary Clinton and all her other female Democratic Senate colleagues spoke, not to mention other governors and members of Congress. The other thing about Sebelius that she is a popular second term governor in a state where at least going by voter registration, Democrats should not win.
Democrats here hope that Senator Clinton's later speech helped to bring their party's house back together. Some here are also a little nervous about what will happen with the other Clinton, Bill, takes the stage at the Democratic National Convention tonight.
