A Conversation with Matt Pryor of The Get Up Kids
The Get Up Kids have been together for a decade, but now the band is breaking up. The five members of the band grew up in the Kansas City area and say it's fitting to play their final shows where they got their start.

Kansas City – The Get Up Kids have been together for a decade, but now the band is breaking up. The five members of the band grew up in the Kansas City area and say it's fitting to play their final shows where they got their start.
The Get Up Kids play their last shows in Lawrence and Kansas City this weekend. KCUR's Laura Spencer talked to singer and songwriter Matt Pryor.
The Get Up Kids play Friday, July 1 at the Granada Theatre at 7 pm in Lawrence and Saturday, July 2 at 8 at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City.
