Conflicted Reponse To Missouri Highway Adopted By Neo-Nazis
Kansas City, MO – The Kansas City Jewish Community Relations Bureau is working with the office of Springfield, Missouri representative Sara Lampe to send a message that Southwest, Missouri does not embrace white separatists.
When neo-Nazis got recognition for picking up trash on the highway outside Springfield, the Kansas City Jewish community felt there should be a way to balance the publicity. The Nazis call themselves a group fighting for the civil rights of whites, so Kansas City Jews went to Rep. Lampe to find a way they could promote civil rights for all. KCUR's Laura Ziegler reports.
