Emergency workers reportedly began searching the Missouri River late Thursday morning after two or possibly three people were seen jumping from the Bond Bridge.

Update 1:23 p.m. The Kansas City Star reports that the Kansas City Fire Department's rescue crews have stopped the search: "Crews continued to search until about 1 p.m. when they pulled the boats out of the river. They did not find anyone."
Update 12:53 p.m. KC police spokesperson Steve Young reports that a man and woman were seen jumping from the Bond Bridge late Thursday morning. The woman appeared to be holding a blanket, leading to speculation they may have taken a child with them, but this information is not confirmed. There is an abandoned pickup truck on the bridge. Crews are searching the water.
