Adopting A Furry Friend
Buying a cat or dog from a store isn’t your only option—pet adoption is growing more popular. However, taking in a rescue animal does present challenges.
On Monday's Up to Date, veterinarian Wayne Hunthausen joins Steve Kraske to talk about ways to acquire a furry friend and discuss what you should watch for when picking out a pet.
Tori Fugate, manager of marketing and development of the KC Pet Project, also joins the conversation.
We also look at how to handle a pet with psychological damage from a previous owner and what to do to prepare your home for a new arrival.
