Added court fees save legal aid program

By Matt Hackworth

KANSAS CITY – Some filing fees in Missouri's courts will increase this week. Associate circuit cases will climb by $8, circuit cases by $10 and appellate cases by $20. The hike won't cover rising court costs but instead will directly fund legal aid programs in Missouri. K-C-U-R's Matt Hackworth reports on a program for the needy that was in jeopardy and the effort that saved it.
