Jeanne joined KCUR in April 2014. Jeanne had been Associate Comptroller at the University of Kansas – Lawrence and on KCPT’s Board of Directors, including Finance Committee, Audit Committee, and task force for the purchase of the Bridge 90.9. So Jeanne had the financial, university, and public media experience that allowed her to immediately jump into the growth and creativity at KCUR. Jeanne’s professional perspective is: If you want to do something remarkable, I will make sure that you have the infrastructure to do it. Jeanne has rich experience in industry, Sprint and UMB Bank; the nonprofit sector, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and the Francis Family Foundation; and higher education, KU and the Metropolitan Community College.
Jeanne is a CPA, earned her MBA at The University of Chicago, and wrote Chapter 10, “Planning for the Social Enterprise,” in Enterprising Nonprofits: A Toolkit for Social Entrepreneurs (John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 2001), a two-volume book sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation. Jeanne’s volunteer engagement also includes the founding Board of Directors for The Coterie Theatre, and the first Advisory Board for WIN for KC.
Jeanne loves to travel and to hear family and friends tell their travel stories and show their photos.
